Musician and producer Martin Goodwin is a versatile artist whose career spans more than two decades. Initially a drummer in post-rock and English and Welsh traditional music bands, he moved into electronic music, specialising in dub techno as a reference point. With over 20 years' experience in computer-aided design and DJ sets, he has built his method of working around the creation of compositions from a systematically ambient base, which he then decides to rhythm or not, creating rich and immersive soundscapes.
In addition to his career as an artist, Martin Goodwin shares his expertise by giving courses on Ableton and mentoring developing artists. He has set up his own company, MGS Mastering, specialising in mixing, mastering and production support, offering his services to other musicians looking to perfect their sound. He performs mainly live, both solo and as a duo (under the name Wukar). His music catalogue includes numerous albums and EPs, released on labels such as Silent Season, Agos, Tehnofonika, Northallsen and Kornarion, among others.
Martin Goodwin continues to be a major player on the deep techno electronic scene, and has taken on a new role in his commitment to sharing his expertise with the next generation of artists since 2023.
