This Wednesday, 9 September at 21:00, Beats & Beyond returns to Poney.FM for its 20th episode.

For this one, we’re tuning in with Noze — the French duo formed by Nicolas Sfintescu and Ezéchiel Pailhès, whose strange, playful take on electronic music has always lived somewhere between house, jazz, disco, cabaret and the wonderfully unpredictable.

Noze came out of the Paris scene in the early 2000s, bringing a distinctly musical approach to club music: eccentric grooves, live instrumentation, odd turns and a sense of humour that never takes the dancefloor too seriously. Their productions have appeared on labels including Circus Company and Get Physical, while releases such as Nôze and Come with Us helped establish their unmistakable sound.

Expect something warm, weird, rhythmic and full of character.
