A former drummer turned sonic alchemist, Théophile Blanckaert (aka Blanche Kheira Toplet, or simply Blanche) doesn’t just play music: he sculpts space. This fascinating artist is joining the poney.fm galaxy to take us along on his quest for invisible frequencies.
Born in the Vosges region of France in the early ‘90s, Blanche first cut his teeth behind a drum kit, steeped in the raw energy of folk and indie rock. But at the turn of the 2010s, a major shift happened: he discovered electronic music and techno. More than just a new genre, he saw it as a universal language—a gateway to transcend the tangible and push the boundaries of perception.
Blanche’s obsession with detail and deep listening led him to found CTRL ROOM in 2020. Designed by renowned acoustician Patrick Thévenot, this studio is far more than a production space: it’s a laboratory where pure technique meets intuition. It’s in this refuge that he mixes and reveals the hidden soul of tracks by major artists like Chloé, Ditti, and the Microclimat collective (the Poney family keeps growing!), while also scoring immersive soundtracks for works like La Bible des Écrivains.
A restless creator, Blanche launched "noon to midnight" in 2025, a physical record label paired with a series of daytime events at the Jardin des Traverses in Paris. The concept? Sparking a dialogue between the light of day and the shadows of the night.
When he steps behind the decks, Blanche does more than just cue up tracks: he tells intimate, timeless stories. This musical narrative has already taken him across the globe, from the Aral Sea in Uzbekistan (Stihia Festival) to the legendary stages of Germany’s Fusion Festival and Normandy’s Pete the Monkey.
Get ready for an inner journey where every note is a step toward awakening. Welcome to the Blanche zone.
